Why Choose GMS
Why Choose GMS for Super Visa Insurance?
100% IRCC Compliant
GMS offers the mandatory $100,000 and $150,000 coverage limits over the required 365-day uninterrupted policy term.
Simplified Eligibility Under Age 55
Applicants under the age of 55 face far fewer medical eligibility conditions than the detailed health screening required for applicants aged 55 and up.
180-Day Pre-Existing Condition Stability
If your parents or grandparents have chronic, managed conditions (like high blood pressure), GMS covers them provided the condition has been stable for 180 days before the policy starts.
Flexible Deductibles to Lower Costs
Choose between $0, $100, $500, or $1,000 deductibles to customize your premium to fit your budget.
No Waiting Period If You Apply Before Arrival
Apply before you arrive in Canada, or transfer seamlessly from another Canadian provider with zero gap in coverage, and there is no waiting period at all. Applying after arrival still starts injury coverage immediately.

Stability Clause
Pre-Existing Condition Coverage
GMS covers stable pre-existing conditions. A condition is stable when there have been no new symptoms, no treatment changes, no medication changes, and no doctor visits for that condition within the required stability period.
All Plans — 180 days stability
Medical conditions must be stable for 180 days before the policy start date to be eligible for pre-existing condition coverage under GMS.
What counts as "stable"
- No new or worsening symptoms
- No new diagnosis or change in existing diagnosis
- No new prescriptions or change in medication dosage
- No hospitalization or referral to a specialist
- No tests ordered or results outstanding
Important Note
Conditions not meeting the stability requirement are excluded. A licensed advisor can help confirm eligibility before you purchase.
